Working at Other Libraries

Piedmont College students have many options about working at, or borrowing books from, other college and university libraries in Georgia. This guide describes those options.

Working at Other Libraries

Summer 2020 Update: Our partner libraries at UGA, KSU, and UNG are closed to the public this summer, so visiting them will not be possible until perhaps this fall, when the Covid-19 situation has eased. This necessarily means that Piedmont College students and faculty cannot borrow books from those libraries.

It is also still the case that most libraries are not lending books to other libraries through interlibrary loan (ILL) because of Covid-19.

However, if students and faculty need books or ebooks that Piedmont College Library doesn't have in our own collections, we can still purchase books and ebooks (when available) for your use. Please use the email form on the Ask a Librarian page to inquire about how we can help.

All publicly supported colleges and universities in Georgia allow state residents to use their collections, facilities, and services on-site. However, library services such as book borrowing are usually not available to persons who are not registered students or faculty.

Piedmont College Libraries have negotiated book borrowing privileges for our students at several public university libraries around the state.
